How can I add my website to search engines like yahoo and google? What is the simplest way to do this process?

I have created my website, now I want it to be available for searching on all search engines specially yahoo and google. What should I do for doing such operation? How much it costs? Need to know complete details.

◙ You need to submit your site to many search engines. Search engines will not accept your site if it is listed on free-for-all list sites. They will not accept it if it is a newbie site that is about them only. Think of a subject and write about it. It can take 2 weeks to 6 months or more before they list you. Even if they do accept your site you’ll need to check your listing occasionally to make certain it is still listed. If a site gets no traffic or isn’t updated regularly they will delte your listing. You will have to do a variety of things to get higher search engine ranking.
First step would be to add your website to yahoo/google/msn using the following

Then try the following things to get your listing at the top of google
When your site is ready:
* Have other relevant sites link to yours.
* Submit it to Google at http://www.google.com/addurl.html.
* Submit a Sitemap as part of our Google webmaster tools. Google Sitemaps uses your sitemap to learn about the structure of your site and to increase our coverage of your webpages.
* Make sure all the sites that should know about your pages are aware your site is online.
* Submit your site to relevant directories such as the Open Directory Project and Yahoo!, as well as to other industry-specific expert sites.
