How do I learn to make my web site to come up better in search engines? Need to learn about site optimization
Written by seocraze on Jul 6th, 2010 | Filed under: Search Engine Optimization
Any books, good up to date websites, or classes? I’ve got a business and need it to come up in the search engines better. I have meta tags, but don’t know much html.
How do I know what Yahoo and Goggle are looking for. The tech pages they have are over my head.
Are 3rd party companies worth the money to have them do this for me?

If you hope to get a load of returning visitors, you have to have content that poeple like and tell their friends about, and keep updating it with new things that make people want to keep going to it, and it’s gotta look good.
The better looking, the more people want to be affiliated with it. Also, make friends, and share links. Join web rings, give the links to your friends who are interested, and an interactive element like a message board, or such, will (if handled correctly) keep people coming back.
1. Link to other pages, and have them link to you.
2 Use relevant META tags for keywords and description
3. Submit the site to: = http://www.coolsiteoftheday.com/
……………. Add your URL to google = http://www.google.com/addurl.html =
4. Announce your website in many online forums.
5. Register your url with google and as many other search engines as possible.
6. Update your site often to have repeat visistors.
7. Add your url in your email signature.
8. Do a search on google, then at the bottom of the page is "Disatisfied with results? Help us improve" link. Just fill out the info. and the spiders will go to your site.
9. Add your url to your business card and pass them out.
10. Put a link in your signatues so that every email/post you make will be seen by search engine bots and taken into account. Be sure that it’s properly labeled "+18 Warning" if the link goes to adult material.

First of all, linking from other web sites helps alot.. Submit your site to alot of directory listings and such.
Also, make sure you site is mostly all in text… Engines can’t read pictures.
Some 3rd party companies know what they are doing, but there is no guarntee for anything on search engines.. they are completely automated.

google ranks sites by how many other sites are linked to yours. don’t let google catch you asking people to link to you or out you go.
if you use yahoo or something like that you have to go to page properties and add the words that would connect people to your web site when they are searching such as school, web design ,music, movies, yahoo etc.

While you don’t need to be a "code expert" to do SEO (I’m not), if you don’t know much HTML combined with the steep learning curve necessary to become expert SEO, I would recommend that you outsource SEO to a third party.
However, outsourcing presents its own set of problems since many people selling SEO services are either incompetent, reckless, or both. Make sure that you get multiple recommendations from people you trust before you contract with any SEO vendor. Also, make sure that your provider uses a detailed web analytics package where all results from the SEO process can be verified and proven to you.
Never choose SEO services on price alone…if they are super cheap, you aren’t likely to receive the results you are looking for.
Even if you outsource SEO, you still should read up on the process. Knowledge means you will less likely fall victim to a scam artist. The websites below are good resources to learn more.
no don’t give money to third party. no need to join course. Just submit your site to google. you can get weekly mail about how to improve your web site traffic from stepronews.com free of coust.
