Simply delete Google's cookie on your web browser. In Internet Explorer 7, from the menu bar, go to Tools > Internet Options > General Tab > under Browsing History, click [Delete] > click Cookie [Delete].

Hello Jordan C,

I'm just guessing here, that you are asking about the Google search text field at the top right of your Macintosh Safari web browser. Is that it? Just to the left of that is the image of a spy (magnifying) glass with a little down arrow. When you click on that you get a drop-down menu of past searches.

At the very bottom of that list is a "Clear Recent Searches" menu command. When you highlight that the big long list will disappear. If you have Windows, it might be the same for it. Best of luck to you.
